PTFS extends online GI system to DAs

8 December 2007

Personal Touch Financial Services (PTFS) has enhanced its online general insurance (GI) service.

Having introduced the buildings and contents (B&C) Quotation Engine in August to appointed representative members, it is now available in a standalone form to directly authorised (DA) users.

Introductions include a quick quote facility, an automatic factfind creation, a save function within the application process, immediate confirmation of cover for mortgage completions and automatic demands and a needs letter creation.

The system developments enhance the existing system to allow the intermediary to compare quotations based on premium and product features, offering comprehensive cover based on individual client needs.

Hannah Tasker, GI sales and development manager for PTFS, said: “Enhancements made to the B&C Quote Engine show our commitment and dedication to both our members and our GI proposition. Members have been able to see that their input really does make a difference as they have a direct involvement in the development of the system.”

Dev Malle, sales director for PTFS said: “The B&C Quote Engine is a simple, yet state of the art tool encapsulating all of the critical requirements that advisers need when selling B&C insurance to their clients. In a market which is going to be tighter, advisers are looking to protection sales to plug the income gap as well as offering full advice to their clients.”

Paul White, consultant at Belgravia, said: “Most people would want to see a no cross-selling agreement. It is not something you can do blindly.”
