Uinsure in Mortgage Brain tie-up

15 December 2007

Uinsure has linked up with Mortgage Brain as part of its Affinity Club.

The building and contents and mortgage payment protection insurance (MPPI) provider has teamed up with the sourcing system so users can access quotations. This will give intermediaries maximum flexibility on price, whilst they are able to offer clients a consistent policy wording. Quotations will also be able to be obtained for MPPI from Norwich Union.

The Affinity Club offers all registered users a swift link through to Uinsure’s quotation platform, where a building and contents quotation can be produced in minutes.

Simon Taylor, Uinsure executive chairman, said: “I am pleased to have been able to link up with Mortgage Brain as one of its preferred building and contents and mortgage payment protection suppliers.

“This is just the first step in our relationship with Mortgage Brain and we will be working with it actively over the next few months to bring a truly seamless general insurance offering to its users that will require minimum effort but with maximum rewards.”

Mark Lofthouse, Mortgage Brain chief executive officer, added: “Uinsure possesses all of the attributes that we look for in a general insurance partner – good products, competitive prices and a market leading commission structure for our users. We have been highly impressed with its technology and look forward to working with it.”

Brian Murphy, head of lending at Mortgage Advice Bureau, said: “Brokers should be open to such ideas in their business and some will be linked to other financial services. I’m sure mortgage intermediaries will find it useful.”
