David Cutter has been appointed as the new HML chairman following Steve Haggerty's move over to Skipton.
The former group corporate development director of Skipton Building Society will take up the reins immediately.
Cutter has been a member of the HML board for over two years, after working for the Skipton Group since 1993 in a number of executive positions.
“I’m pleased to be taking over from Steve Haggerty at a time when the company is in great shape and well placed to reach £100 billion of assets under management within the next four to five years," said Haggerty.
"The company has a great team and a sound foundation for further development and growth under Brian Brodie’s leadership.”
Elsewhere, David Grant has decided to leave HML to pursue other interests, whilst Paul Fenn, development director, becomes a member of the HML Operational Board.
The Client Relations teams will report to Neil Warman, finance director, who recently joined HML from Banc of America Securities.
