Mortgage Business Expo, Manchester
- The Mortgage Business Expo in Manchester, organised by Clarion Events, takes place on the 16-17 May 2007 at Manchester Central.
- Mortgage Business Expo Manchester is the largest event for brokers, IFAs and other mortgage professionals taking place in the North this year, showcasing over 130 lenders and product providers to help advisers develop their businesses.
Get the daily news delivered to your inbox- The Expo is supported by both the Council of Mortgage Lenders (CML) and the Association of Mortgage Intermediaries (AMI). Both will offer a range of free seminars on both days.
- The CML programme will include presentations on mortgage regulation; self-cert and non-conforming; overseas mortgages; ‘Treating Customers Fairly’; preparing for a Financial Services Authority (FSA) mystery shop; buy-to-let; commercial lending and Islamic home finance.
- The AMI seminar programme will include presentations on perspectives on the housing market; developments in regulation; protection; buy-to-let and commercial mortgages; technology; Home Information Packs; and overseas property.
- There will also be an equity release pavilion, sponsored by Key Retirement Solutions; a secured loans seminar theatre, sponsored by Brilliant Loans; and an international property investment portfolio, sponsored by Moneycorp.
- The equity release pavilion provides a programme covering entering the market; state benefits; and regulation.

- The secured loans theatre offers a seminar programme, in association with the Association of Finance Brokers (AFB) covering the changing secured loans sector; technological developments; and building your secured loan business.
- Mortgage Business Expo Manchester has been accredited by the Chartered Institute of Insurers (CII) and can be included as part of delegate’s CII Continuing Professional Development requirement.
- The Expo and seminars are free and there is no need to pre-book. However, delegates are advised to arrive early to avoid disappointment.
- The international property investment portfolio aims to provide information on international property investment through a range of international developer exhibitors.
- This year, the Expo will include a ‘Welcome Area’, sponsored by 5D Finance. Delegates can use the ‘Welcome Area’ to plan their visit to the show and pick up a free coffee.
- The Central Cafe, sponsored by Mortgages plc, also offers delegates the chance to unwind and provides a central meeting point.
