GMAC distributes TCF newsletter

GMAC-RFC is to launch a monthly newsletter to keep intermediaries abreast of industry issues, especially where 'Treating Customers Fairly' (TCF) is concerned.

The launch has been sparked by the looming Financial Services Authority (FSA) deadline, with 'e-news' designed to help intermediaries 'tackle the issue head on.'

The newsletter will contain TCF tips as well as suggested best practices.

Julie Gaskin, corporate relations manager at GMAC-RFC said: “With the FSA recently indicating that insufficient progress was being made to embed TCF principles into smaller firms, we hope that the advice we offer via our newsletter will provide them with some much needed assistance.

“We have already seen that the TCF pages on ‘e-news’ have been the most read amongst our intermediaries, showing a clear appetite for further help and information in readiness for the looming deadline.

"If they haven’t already, we are urging intermediaries to start making provisions now and if in any doubt to refer to our advice or speak to one of our sales force to ensure that they have the appropriate processes in place.”
