CAL launches enhanced website
Conveyancing Alliance Ltd (CAL) has taken a step towards its future plans with the launch of its new website.
Designed to offer brokers an end-to-end conveyancing solution, www.movewithcal.com gives brokers the ability to obtain a quote and instruct a solicitor in around one minute and track cases from start to finish with real-time updates.

The site also provides instant access to a panel of specialist firms, offering home moving services through its online system.
CAL’s national sales manager, Ian Turrell, explained that brokers would usually submit applications after meeting with clients and once an e-mail has been sent to a solicitor they could wait several days before hearing back. The CAL system however, would prompt one of the registered solicitors and the system is designed so that the broker will hear back instantly, as there is no manual intervention needed from the solicitor.
Real-time updates will also allow intermediaries to view the process online.
Nick Gardner, communications director at Chase De Vere Mortgage Management, said: “Ideally it will be great as the more control the broker has, the more efficiently he can work. I’ve heard of these systems before but the jury’s out until it’s tried and tested.”
