Mortgages plc expands NI criteria

16 May, 2007

Mortgages plc has opened up its solicitors panel in Northern Ireland.

The lender will now include any firm which is registered with the Law Society in Northern Ireland and has two or more partners.

Pete Thomson, sales director at Mortgages plc, explained: “To date, we have operated a restricted panel of solicitors in Northern Ireland but, following a review by our credit committee, it has been decided to open-up our solicitors panel with immediate effect.

“We have listened carefully to feedback from our introducers, who have told us that such a development will enable Mortgages plc to significantly increase its lending activities in Northern Ireland. This is an important and growing market and one in which Mortgages plc is keen to strengthen its presence.”
