NU relaunches equity release DVD

Norwich Union has launched an improved equity release guide and DVD.
The guide and DVD make it easier for potential customers to understand equity release and decide if it is right for them. Both the guide and DVD encourage family members to be part of the decision-making process and attend meetings with advisers.
The guide has been increased in size from an A5 to an A4 landscape format. The larger format has allowed the ‘at a glance’ sectioned to be placed prominently in the centre pages, and highlights the benefits and considerations of taking out a lifetime mortgage or home reversion plan. The DVD provides more information on what equity release is and how it works.
Anthony Rafferty, head of post retirement at Norwich Union, said: "Equity release is becoming an increasingly popular product for those approaching retirement. The DVD and guide both ensure that consumers understand the implications of taking out a lifetime mortgage or home reversion plan."
