Abbey fees down

Abbey is reducing the fee on all its flexible mortgages from this Friday, from £2,499 to £1,499.

Abbey's flexible mortgages allow people to offset their savings as well as make overpayments, underpayments and take payment holidays. Its rates start from 6.43% at 75 per cent loan to value.

Last week, Abbey cut rates on its range of tracker mortgages. Two, three and five-year trackers with the mortgage lender start from 6.04% with £999 fee.
