Quinton takes Mansfield chief executive role
Nigel Quinton has been officially appointed as Chief Executive of The Mansfield Building Society following the retirement of David Fisher.
Quinton, who joined the Society in February 2005 as Director of Finance and Information Technology, is a qualified accountant who has held senior and board roles with both mutual building societies and limited companies.
He will be responsible for formulating and implementing strategy and will oversee the day to day operations of the Society which will include forging even closer links with members and local organisations.
In line with Quinton’s move, Darren Garner has been appointed as Finance Director. Darren, from Binfield, Berkshire, joins the Society from ING Direct having worked there in a number of senior finance positions, including four years as Financial Controller. Previously he held senior manager roles with Vodafone and Abbey National.
Quinton said: “In place is a very experienced management team that knows its number one priority is the local community, and Darren’s appointment will further strengthen an already strong unit.
