Nationwide announces special deal for existing borrowers

29 September, 2008

With effect from Friday 3 October, existing Nationwide mortgage customers will only have to pay a £299 reservation fee when switching to a mortgage with a £599 reservation fee, representing a £300 saving compared to new remortgage and homebuyer customers.

There will also be a two year fixed rate available for switchers with no reservation fee, in addition to the £299 and £999 fee options. This latest offer replaces the current 'no fee' deal for existing mortgage customers switching.

Matthew Carter, director of mortgages at Nationwide, said: "We continue to ensure that our best deals are made available to reward loyal customers. Thousands of our borrowers have saved themselves nearly £600 each over the last couple of months and with this new offer more people will also be able to save money. It is great to be able to launch these types of limited offers at a time when we know customers are looking to save money where they can."
