Mansfield launches HIP service
The Mansfield Building Society has appointed local company Hiphomes (UK) to provide a Home Information Pack Service (HIPS) for its members and customers.
Available for a fixed fee of £349 plus VAT, the price includes a sales statement, local searches, evidence of title and an Energy Performance Certificate which contains advice on how to cut CO² emissions and fuel bills. It excludes the cost of mining and environmental reports.
Hiphomes (UK), who are 40 per cent owned by Fidler & Pepper Solicitors, was chosen following discussions with a number of other providers.
Pete Doherty, product manager of the Society, said: “We want to make the house sale process as easy as possible for our members and customers, and the introduction of a HIPS referral service is a logical progression of our services.
“We spoke to several companies and Hiphomes (UK) mirrored our commitment to the heartland, our drive for complete customer satisfaction and business ethics. They were the natural choice and will be an asset to our future growth.”
Matt Slade, director of Hiphomes (UK) and Partner at Fidler & Pepper Solicitors, said: "We are delighted to be working with The Mansfield as we share the same principles in serving clients as customer service is at the very forefront of our business. Also as local service provider this is great news for the firm in driving our business forward".
