NLA conference programme announced

With the theme ‘Operating in Today’s Market: Future Prospects for Landlords’, and open to members and non-members alike, the Conference offers all landlords the opportunity to discuss issues which directly affect their lettings business as well as hearing from influential and expert speakers including:

Iain Wright MP, Parliamentary Under Secretary of State at Communities and Local Government. He is a champion of the private-rented sector and has spoken often about the contribution private landlords make to the housing mix.

Dr Julie Rugg, Centre of Housing Policy, University of York is due to publish her independent review of the private-rented sector only a few weeks before the NLA National Conference. This is a chance for the implications of her review to be explored in more depth.

Andrew Heywood, Deputy Head of Policy, Council of Mortgage Lenders and well-known housing expert Professor Tony Crook, University of Sheffield will join property experts and portfolio landlords during a ‘Question Time’ debate chaired by Richard Dyson, Deputy Personal Finance Editor at The Mail on Sunday.

In addition to the main speakers, the Conference includes an exhibition, opportunities for networking and breakout sessions helping delegates on a wide range of issues from possession proceedings to Local Housing Allowance and sale and rent back.
