Goldsmith Williams quartet graduate

14 October, 2008

Goldsmith Williams, the direct conveyancing firm, has hosted an award ceremony to present conveyancing licenses to 4 members of staff.

The licences were presented yesterday to Debby Cassapi, Shirley Turner, Cheryl Halsall and Richard Espley by Victor Olowe, Chief Executive of the Council for Licensed Conveyancers. The 4 members of staff took 3 years to obtain their conveyancing qualifications and have studied via an in-house course run by Goldsmith Williams’ own training academy, Osmosis.

John Jones, Director for Learning & Development at Goldsmith Williams and head of the Osmosis training academy, said: “I am delighted, not just for the 4 staff who have qualified as licensed conveyancers, but also for Goldsmith Williams which has given its full commitment to the development of an in-house training programme. This is an excellent way for staff to further their careers by obtaining appropriate qualifications and skills.”

The course, which is dedicated to the memory of a past member of staff, Shelly Prout, is currently being undertaken by a further 13 staff, 5 of whom are in their second year and 8 of whom have started their first year.

Chris Williams, Partner at Goldsmith Williams, said: “Congratulations to all those who have received their licenses and a very special thank you to John Jones who has developed and runs our in-house academy. I would also like to thank Trevor Reese who has helped as course tutor. Goldsmith Williams is fully committed to helping staff develop their careers through professional training and this was a very proud moment for all the partners in the firm.”
