Natwest and RBS cut its Standard Variable Rate by a full 1.5 per cent
NatWest and RBS announced that its Standard Variable Rate mortgages will be cut by 1.50 per cent from 6.69 per cent to 5.19 per cent.
The reduction follows a review following the Bank of England's Monetary Policy Committee (MPC) decision to cut rates by 1.50 per cent on Thursday and Friday's movement in LIBOR.
The rate change is effective from 1 December 2008 for existing customers.
