FSA confirms Cheshire and Nationwide merger
The Financial Services Authority (FSA) has announced that it confirmed the proposed transfer of the engagements of the Cheshire Building Society to the Nationwide Building Society on 4 December.
Copies of the FSA’s written decision are available on the FSA website. Fifty two written representations and one notice of intention to make oral representations were received by the FSA. Two persons made oral representations at a hearing held in Macclesfield on 20 November 2008. Copies of the decision will be sent to each society and to those who made representations.
