From 23rd March, Vision's 750 Appointed Representatives (AR) have been able to meet their clients General Insurance needs by covering them with Paymentshield's Buildings & Contents, MortgageProtector Mortgage Payment Protection Insurance (MPPI) and Landlords Buildings & Contents Insurance policies.

In addition, Paymentshield's sister company Towergate Home & Protect will provide non standard Buildings and Contents Insurance products from its panel of insurers RSA, Zurich and Norwich Union for Vision intermediaries. Finally, Towergate Risk Solutions will provide support for the sale of commercial insurance products to advisers within the network.

Christopher May Director at Vision said: "During the last year we have been researching the various General Insurance propositions and have found Paymentshield's product and service offering to be consistently market leading for both price and quality of product.

We are committed to providing our members with the most comprehensive and competitive network offering in the marketplace and this together with other recently publicised initiatives will ensure we are always a first class option for current and prospective members. This tie-up will allow our advisers to access Paymentshield's five-star Defaqto MPPI product MortgageProtector as well as a range of other products within the wider Towergate family to ensure that choice and flexibility is offered."

Vision Software is now also fully compatible with Paymentshield's Inertia software, offering simple transition between the different aspects of the sales process with an electronic audit trail.

Stuart Pender Chief Executive Officer of Paymentshield, said: "This is another very significant win for Paymentshield as we again fought off competition from a number of other strong competitors to win the deal.

The strength of our product range across personal and commercial general insurance lines, the professionalism and scale of our sales team, flexible and comprehensive choice of commission options plus the opportunities of an exclusive Commission Buy Out Scheme, were the main factors that secured us the deal and we very much look forward to working with Vision going forward."

Both companies are looking forward to developing this new partnership and in providing Vision Network's customers with valuable and relevant products in the difficult economic environment today.
