FirstAssist appoints new chair
Simon Ellen, currently non-executive director at FirstAssist, has been appointed Chairman of the FirstAssist Board.
Rodney Baker-Bates stepped down as Chairman following the third year of his second three year term as Chairman of the Board. In line with corporate governance best practice he did not seek a further term as Chairman.
Simon Ellen will also chair the Audit and Remuneration Committees previously chaired by Rodney. Simon joined the Board of FGHL in early 2008 and currently chairs the Risk Committee of FISL.
Subject to FSA approval, John Maxwell will join the Board as Non-Executive Director.
