Fortis Life appoints head of sales
Protection specialist Fortis Life UK has appointed Mark Anders to the position of head of sales.
Mark will be responsible for leading Fortis' protection sales division, including facilitating the company's growth and relationship-building within the IFA market.
The role supports the business's growth plan for launching its products and services to the whole of the IFA market, extending its reach to over 24,000 IFAs.
With over 20 years of industry experience, spanning from regional sales management and senior sales positions, Mark joins Fortis Life from Bupa, where he held the position of head of sales. A key member of the Bupa executive team, Mark led the sales activity for UK protection across all channels including intermediated and direct sales and led the development and maintenance of long term business relationships with intermediaries, affinities and partnerships.
Before joining Bupa, Mark led LV's National Account Team.
Martin Werth, managing director at Fortis Life commented: "We're delighted that Mark is joining our team as we continue to grow our business across the IFA market. Mark brings with him an enormous amount of industry experience which will enable him to make an excellent contribution to the future direction of Fortis Life and to the execution of our strategic sales plan. At the same time this allows us to increase our focus on marketing, with Ian Jefferies becoming head of marketing."
