Assurant appoints European product development manager
Assurant Solutions has today announced the appointment of Richard Preston as European product development manager.
Based at the European headquarters in Windsor, Richard will be responsible for driving product development and innovation for the specialist lines that Assurant Solutions focuses on across its operations in the UK, Ireland, Italy, Spain and Germany.
This includes creditor Insurance, as well as warranties and extended service contracts on appliances and consumer electronics.
Richard will be working alongside a team of product executives to deliver a strong product pipeline. He will also work closely with the marketing teams in each country to identify and qualify opportunities as well as ensuring the correct marketing mix is utilised for each product line in each country.
Commenting on this latest appointment to the business, European marketing director Adrian Fowler said: “Richard is a skilled marketing professional with extensive financial services experience in both the general insurance and retail banking consumer credit markets.
“He is a highly driven individual, with a proven track record of executing strategies that deliver results. With Richard on board, I am confident that the Assurant Solutions businesses in Europe will continue to bring cutting edge products to market in our chosen lines of business throughout the region.”
Richard joins the business having held a range of senior product management and direct marketing roles over the past 20 years at a variety of financial services organisations including AEGON, Royal Bank of Scotland, GE Capital and HSA Health Insurance.
