Castle Trust appoints chief operating officer
Martyn Guerin has been appointed chief operating officer at mortgage lender Castle Trust.
Guerin joins from Barclays where he was general manager for the credit card and loans business in Germany and Barclaycard’s chief operating officer for Europe the Middle East and Africa.
Guerin said: “Castle Trust has been created to help with the two most important financial decisions in your life: how you invest your savings and buying your home. And it offers you a better way to do both. That is why I am so enthused to be joining to help get the innovative partnership mortgage out to the market. After all this is a mortgage that offers a new and secure source of funding for homeowners while improving affordability and reducing the risks of owning your home. To my mind, the market has been crying out for this kind of fresh thinking when it comes to product design.”
Sean Oldfield, chief executive officer at Castle Trust, added: “Martyn is a great addition to our growing team and when someone of his calibre and industry experience is as enthused about what we’re doing as we are it goes to show that we’re addressing a real market need here.”
