SLC launches conveyancing conference
The Society of Licensed Conveyancers has launched a conference for November 2011 entitled Embracing the Future of Conveyancing with speakers from the Council of Mortgage Lenders, Building Societies’ Association and, the Council of Licensed Conveyancers.
The conference will take place on the 22nd November in Derby and is set to become an annual event.
The day will consist of a full agenda of discussions and presentations on mortgage fraud, lenders panels, future regulation in light of the provisions of the Legal Services Act and alternative business structures.
The afternoon’s sessions will include a presentation on the SLC solution, which will allow SLC members to remain on lenders panels.
John Clay, chairman of the SLC, said: “We really hope that both members and non-members alike take this opportunity to come along and to discuss what is happening in the world of conveyancing.
“The conference will provide an excellent opportunity to share and exchange thoughts with fellow professionals, as well as gaining vital insights into what lies ahead for the legal profession.”
