Valvona previously worked at Mortgage Next and Pink Home Loans.
Andy Valvona has joined Fleet Mortgages as a national account manager after a near eight year absence from the mortgage market.
Valvona (pictured) was head of business development at Mortgage Next, now known as Mortgage Intelligence, from 2003 to 2006 before becoming head of corporate accounts at Pink Home Loans from 2007 to 2009.
From 2010 to 2016 he worked at software providers Synaptic Software and SSP Worldwide.
Valvona said: “To come back to the mortgage market with Fleet Mortgages is incredibly satisfying as I have been looking for a return to lending for some time.
“My background has always been working within the intermediary market with specialist lenders and to join an operation like Fleet Mortgages, where I can work very closely with the larger intermediary firms, networks, and distributors in order to increase both business volumes and the quality of submissions, was a very attractive draw.
“I’m looking forward to hitting the ground running, developing new and existing client relationships and returning to a part of the mortgage market where I feel I can help develop the business activities of many firms.”
Earlier in his career Valvona was at former Nationwide brand UCB Home Loans and Verso, part of the now defunct Britannia Building Society.
