Freedom Finance has appointed Jeff Poole (pictured) as managing director of Freedom Consumer Finance and Zoe Cuthbertson as head of marketing.

Poole has worked in the financial services and payments marketplace for over 25 years and brings a wealth of experience to Freedom Finance in the unsecured lending space, which is a key growth market for Freedom. He was one of the key founders of MBNA Europe (now part of Bank of America) and has also held leadership positions at Tesco Bank, KPMG, TSYS and Barclaycard.

Alongside Poole, Freedom Finance has added to its senior marketing team with the appointment of Cuthbertson. Prior to joining Freedom Finance, she spent four years at BPP, a provider of professional and academic education and has also held various marketing positions at Shop Direct Group, a leading online retailer.

Brian Brodie, group CEO of Freedom Finance, said: “Freedom Finance continues to invest in some of the most experienced, exciting talent in the industry, and Zoe and Jeff joining us is further evidence of the successful growth story we are starting to tell to the marketplace. This is a dynamic, exciting time for Freedom Finance as we expand our offering and reach, and we are really confident that Jeff and Zoe will add significant value to the team.

“We are committed to cementing Freedom Finance’s position as the leading UK loan platform, and to do that we need the best talent in the industry and a powerful, clearly-defined brand. Bringing Jeff and Zoe on board will help us to do that.”
