Hampshire Trust Bank has appointed Ian Alsop to head of underwriting in the commercial mortgages division.
Alsop (pictured) is charged with adding to, and managing the commercial underwriting team.
He said: “This new role at Hampshire Trust Bank is an opportunity to combine my experience of property lending and team leadership in a fast-moving environment, backed by a clear and firm commitment to the commercial mortgage business by the bank.”
Alsop has more than 20 years’ experience of property lending and recently focused on investment and development transactions in the personal and SME buy-to-let, mixed use and commercial sectors.
Before joining Hampshire Trust Bank he was head of credit at Mizrahi Tefahot Bank in London and head of loans distribution at the Bank of Scotland corporate. He was also director of the Association of Property Lenders.
