Leeds appoints new head of IT security

Leeds Building Society has hired Barry Glenn as its new head of IT security.

Glenn has over 30 years’ experience in the industry, including 20 years with the US Navy in IT. He joins from his previous role at Clydesdale and Yorkshire Bank, where he was information security lead technology consultant.

The new role at Leeds is focused on delivering and directing the society’s strategic and operational security activities.

Glenn said: “I bring many years of technical and management experience combined with a desire to learn new things. I have extensive experience with multiple Information Security frameworks, control implementation and risk mitigation.”
