London first-time buyer hotspots revealed

Plaistow, Penge and Croydon are London hotspots for first-time buyers based on average house price, research from property investment company Inspired Homes has revealed.

The average price in Plainstow stands at just £225,089, followed by Penge at £371,250 and £392,737

The fastest selling location is Camberwell at five weeks, followed by Finchley and Plaistow at six weeks, though buying in Camberwell typically costs 513,616.

Martin Skinner, chief executive at Inspired Homes, said: “Our research shows that not everywhere in London is flying and first-time buyers are in a strong position to test developers’ resolve by making offers in areas where new homes are slow to shift.”

On the other end of the table the slowest selling location was Hendon where properties were listed for an average of 54 weeks, followed by Tooting and Ealing.
