London Sharia'a centre established

16 January, 2008

Islamic Bank of Britain (IBB) has established its first decicated Commercial Centre in London.

IBB holds the mantle of the first fully Sharia’a-compliant bank in the UK and Europe, and the first Islamic finance institution in the UK authorised and regulated by the FSA to operate as a bank.

It's new centre in East Ham will be dedicated to providing a personalised service for customers who are looking to buy their own home, expand their business or purchase commercial property.

“We recognise that there are many clients in the UK who require a high level of service to enable them to make sound investments and take business decisions,” explained Sultan Choudhury, the bank’s Commercial Director.

“We also have a need for a dedicated centre to meet the requirements of potential customers who are looking for ethical finance products which we can offer to the whole of the UK public.”

Alongside its current offerings which include financing for commercial properties, IBB is soon to be launching Sharia'a compliant home finance.
