Edinburgh investing seminar

Hosting the event, entitled ‘If you can't predict you should prepare', is Shadi Darvish, a financial adviser and stockbroker who works at the Edward Jones office in High Street, South Queensferry.

With both markets and oil prices showing recent volatility, what should individual investors be doing now to achieve their long-term financial goals? That is the vital question the seminar will tackle.

Shadi Darvish said "We would all prefer to know exactly what will happen with the financial markets, as it would make selecting investments so much easier.

"But we do not, therefore we will look at the benefits of having a consistent long term investment approach, and will discuss strategies for staying focused when the market changes. Time in the market, is more important than timing of the market".
