Just Retirement joins best companies to work for
In its first year of participation, Just Retirement has been ranked in the Top 100 "best companies to work for".
The survey, now in its tenth year, is sponsored by The Sunday Times, provided by Best Companies Ltd., and endorsed by the Chartered Institute for Personnel and Development (CIPD).
A total of 964 companies entered the survey which examines all aspects of work within companies. Just Retirement was ranked 89th following an examination of its staff's attitudes. The company is the highest ranked Life assurance company in The Sunday Times' survey.
The survey, which was published in The Sunday Times on 7th March 2010, highlighted that staff "are excited about where the organisation is going, giving a positive score of 75% in the survey". Service was also highlighted by the survey as a key contributor to staff perception of Just Retirement. Fully 89% of the workforce believed that it provides a "great service to its customers", placing it 7th within the overall survey on this point.
Commenting on the survey results, Mike Fuller, chief executive officer, said: "From the start of Just Retirement in 2004 we have always placed great store in cultivating a positive culture within the business. This manifests itself in everything from regular management briefings for staff to an active sports and social calendar. That we have managed to maintain and enhance this culture whilst growing the business to its current leadership position in our markets is a testament to the benefits this approach can provide. As a result, I am personally delighted that, in our first year of participating in the survey, we have managed to rank in the Top 100 best companies to work for. We will continue to focus on this aspect of our business and I look forward to an even better result next year."
