Assurant announces insurance training webinars

The webinars, which run from 11:00 am until around noon every Friday will cover subjects including building and contents insurance and Assurant Intermediary’s online quote and buy system.

The schedule will run from 9 September to 30 September.

Assurant said the sessions were designed to help intermediaries increase their knowledge and confidence in selling general insurance products.

Gary Little, head of key accounts at Assurant, said: “We’ve received extremely positive feedback about these sessions.

“Brokers have jumped at the chance to get free, valuable training from the convenience of their own desk.”

Little said the next schedule was built around the feedback from brokers but was not set in stone.

“If we get requests for additional subjects then we’ll look to accommodate them,” he said.

“These sessions are all about helping intermediaries improve their professional skills and provide even better service to their clients.

“In the end, that means increased revenue opportunity.”
