Countrywide opens 100 offices in 14 months
Countrywide has opened its 100th new lettings office in 14 months taking its total number of lettings offices to over 330.
In 2010, Countrywide made an investment of £5m in launching a lettings service model to maximise the power of Countrywide’s 1,300 offices.
The lettings agent and property services group is targeting individual tenancies, first-time landlords and investors looking to increase their Buy-to-let portfolios.
Countrywide has recruited over 235 lettings personnel over the period and is continuing to recruit candidates to staff upcoming office openings with a further 15 branches scheduled to open by the end of the year.
Commenting, Nick Dunning, commercial director at Countrywide, said: “Despite the challenges in the residential market, the rental market has continued to go from strength to strength, with new tenant applications continuing to grow at record levels. We have continued to invest heavily in our infrastructure, both in sales and lettings, with plans to open many more lettings offices next year.”
