NatWest Intermediary Solutions has appointed eight BDMs – with two being field-based and six phone-based.

Shane Woods has also been appointed team leader of NatWest’s LiveTALK, a broker instant messaging service that handles 12,000 conversations a month on mortgage applications pre-submission.

Mark Bullard, head of sales at NatWest Intermediary Solutions, said: “We know from conversations with mortgage brokers just how highly they value good BDMs which is why we are always keen to recruit the very best to join our team.

“I am delighted that we have been able to welcome such a large number of new BDMs who bring with them great relationship skills, a huge amount of energy and a desire to provide world class service.

“I am positive that they will quickly prove their worth to their broker panels as we continue our appetite to grow our intermediary lending.”

The two field-based BDMs are Stuart Brady, who will be covering the South West and Rachel Fleet, who will work with a panel of brokers in Chester, Wrexham, Warrington, Crewe and Shrewsbury.

Brady has spent the past eight years at NatWest including four in roles involving mortgage advice, while Fleet has been a personal mortgage adviser in the bank’s branch network for eight years.

The six phone-based BDMs are Lucy Dowthwaite, who will work with brokers in Kent; Sadie Page, who will work with a panel in Leeds, Sheffield and Teesside; James Burwood, who will work with an East Anglian Panel; Harvey Bishop, who will work with brokers in North London, Hertfordshire and Essex; Jack Maliszewsk and Tommy Taylor.
