Insurance provider Paymentshield has appointed Motorplus as its home emergency insurance product partner.

The three-year deal will see Motorplus exclusively supply Paymentshield with family and landlord legal expenses cover, home emergency cover and home buyers’ protection cover.

Amanda Fox, proposition and insurer relations director at Paymentshield, said: “Having worked with Motorplus for a number of years, we knew that they could offer the flexibility in product development and commitment to customer services that our client base has come to expect, and it’s always a wonderful thing when we are able to strengthen relationships with existing partners.”

As well as providing home emergency, home buyers protection and legal expenses cover, Motorplus has a wide portfolio of specialist personal and commercial lines insurance products for the broker and insurance provider market and has provided motor legal expenses insurance and claims handling for over 25 years.

Phil Weller, sales and marketing director from Motorplus, added: “We are delighted to have extended our relationship with Paymentshield. We’ve invested significantly in growing our non-motor business and have a really strong product offering in all of these areas, along with an experienced and efficient claims handling team.”

Motorplus currently underwrites Paymentshield’s legal expenses cover in relation to property claims.
