A HIP substitute?

Jennifer Lowe

This document should give all relevant facts affecting the property and making the agreement subject to survey could help the process. None of what is being done with HIPs is going to assure the sale of a property.

Indeed, I find it extraordinary that if I wish to sell my property, I will have to produce all of these documents and spend out all this money. What of the scenario of my selling to a member of my family – would I still be liable to a fine by doing this without the HIPs?
