Accord B2L expands solicitor panel

Solicitors on the current Accord Mortgages residential panel will now be accepted for buy-to-let conveyancing if they possess Conveyancing Quality Scheme accreditation from the Law Society of England and Wales.

Solicitors holding the accreditation will act on a joint basis for the customer and Accord Buy to Let.

Chris Maggs, national account manager at Accord Buy to Let, said: “The expansion of the Accord Buy to Let solicitor panel provides much greater choice for both brokers and customers and we expect the change will be warmly welcomed by intermediaries.

“When we entered the buy-to-let market, we wanted to operate a limited panel while we established our proposition.

“With the introduction of the Law Society’s CQS scheme we now feel in a position to expand our solicitor panel to include all firms on the Accord Mortgages conveyancing panel who hold this accreditation.”

Accord has offered buy-to-let mortgages since 2011 and lends up to a maximum of 75% loan to value to house purchase and remortgage customers.

Current buy-to-let fixed rates start at 3.39% and tracker rates begin at 3.49% with a variety of incentives available including up to £500 cashback on completion and free valuations.
