Accord makes a raft of appointments

Amongst the appointments are four new business development managers.

Accord Mortgages has expanded both its sales and underwriting teams with a number of appointments.

The appointments see the intermediary arm of Yorkshire Building Society add four business development managers. These include Andrew Calder as BDM for Scotland East, including Edinburgh, Russell Maggs as BDM for the Thames Valley area, including Oxfordshire and Gloucestershire,Eloise Tovey will support brokers on the South Coast and Mike Houston will cover the South East.

Additionally Gemma Nash has joined Accord’s telephone BDM team to provide sales development support through the lender’s telephony operation.

Jennifer Hadwin joins as the business development adviser team as part of an apprentice scheme, providing brokers with advice on cases over the phone.

Accord has also established two new managerial roles with Chris Hill overseeing the sales team in the south of the country as regional sales manager. Whilst Alan Luther has been appointed as a new corporate account manager, with specific responsibility for supporting the continued development of Accord’s new build proposition.

David Robinson, national intermediary sales manager at Accord, said: “As part of our ongoing commitment to grow our broker support service these new appointments mean we have a robust sales network servicing intermediaries from the top to bottom of the country, with a choice of channels – including face-to-face, telephone, or web chat – to best suit brokers’ business needs."

Accord has recruited some 45 underwriters over the course of the year.
