Advantage enhances management team
Jeff Dawson has been promoted to head of intermediary sales, Stephen Wishart has been appointed as fraud manager and Andy Cross is to become mortgage team manager.
The announcement forms part of Advantage’s recruitment plans, which is considered to be integral to the company’s growth strategy following its acquisition by Morgan Stanley in December 2005. The new roles will bolster the company’s existing position in the non-conforming market and strengthen it for future expansion which will shortly see the launch of a suite of non-conforming products funded by Morgan Stanley.
Simon Maudslay, managing director at Advantage, said: “I am delighted to announce the next phase of our management expansion. Advantage is at a key growth stage of its development, and to support the needs of the business, we have been actively recruiting at all levels. Our recruitment campaigns for underwriters and other key mortgage personnel enable us to build upon an already strong team.”
Jeff Dawson, head of intermediary sales
After successfully managing the northern team of business development managers, Jeff has been promoted to the role of head of intermediary sales, to replace the recently appointed sales director Peter Bass. Jeff who has been with Advantage since 1999 has in-depth knowledge of the intermediary market; his promotion is seen as a natural progression based on his achievements within the sales team.
Stephen Wishart, fraud manager
Stephen previously worked at MBNA for five years, most recently managing fraud application teams with regards to credit card and non-secured loan products. Stephen will be responsible for developing the company’s existing fraud policy.
Andy Cross, mortgage team manager
Andy previously worked with MBNA for six years holding various managerial positions across the banking departments including risk, credit, collections and more recently customer services. He will be responsible for building relationships with packagers on the Advantage Home Loans panel.
