Age Partnership has appointed Mark Spooner and Martin Gatenby as partnership managers, further investing into the Partnerships team of 11.
Focussing on funeral plans and retirement advice, Spooner will use his diverse mix of experience from working across sectors such as lending, broking and charity, and in-depth knowledge of the retirement sector.
Working as a consultant, Gatenby has experience dealing with both UK and US banks, and has dealt with many specialist lenders throughout the UK. With his experience of managing operational teams and call centres, he wants to expand on the structure within the Partnerships team.
Adam Carnall, Age Partnership’s head of partnerships, said: “I am delighted to have both Martin and Mark on board.
“Age Partnership is going from strength to strength and we are now the UKs number one equity release broker.
“There is a greater awareness of later life lending options in the market, and advisors that don’t specialise in later life advice are partnering with brokers to offer a holistic service to their clients.”
Carnall added: “Whether it be because of a shortfall at the end of an interest-only mortgage or greater aspirations going into retirement, customers should be made aware of all the options available to them.
“I’m excited to see how our new recruits can contribute to this healthy growth, they are both welcome additions to the team.”
The team has doubled in size over the past two years and experienced a 296% uplift of notional growth between 2016 and 2017.
The pair have over 66 years of combined experience within the financial sector both with a strong focus on partnership and relationship management.
