Specialist lender Aldermore has appointed Jon Cooper as its new head of omnichannel within its retail mortgage business.

In his new role Cooper will be responsible for driving sales through brokers and alternative channels as well as into the direct team. He will continue to build on the great work our intermediary and direct distribution teams have done to drive our business and further enhance our distribution capability.

Cooper has over 30 years’ experience of working in financial services bringing to Aldermore a wealth of mortgage knowledge and expertise in both sales and operations. Most recently, he worked at the Cooperative Bank where he was responsible for their branch network as well as their SME, commercial banking and mortgages businesses.

"Before that taking overall responsibility for field and phone based advisers at Natwest and held a number of senior leadership roles leading telephony, branch and mortgage businesses at the Royal Bank of Scotland.
