Aldermore Bank has hired Sue Hayes (pictured) as group managing director of retail finance from Barclays, where she holds a directorial role.
Hayes, who will join in June, will be responsible for managing the bank’s mortgages and savings businesses as well as expanding into new areas.
Phillip Monks OBE, chief executive of Aldermore, said: “I am delighted that Sue is joining Aldermore as group managing director – retail finance and look forward to welcoming her to the Bank.
“Sue is highly respected, brings considerable banking experience to her new role, and will be a real asset to the Bank’s executive committee.
“Aldermore has established itself as a key supporter of professional landlords and homeowners that do not fit the cookie cutter approach of many providers, with our award-winning savings proposition offering competitive rates over the long-term.
“Going forward we aim to broaden our offering, further helping individuals to achieve their goals, and Sue’s experience and knowledge will play a key role in our future development.”
Before working at Barclays Hayes works for Santander UK, where she held roles including managing director of business banking and director of product marketing. Previously she held senior positions at RBS and Halifax Bank of Scotland.
