Arbuthnot Banking Group, a Moorgate-based private bank, unveiled plans to launch a secured lending business in the fourth quarter of this year.
Former Amicus and Mayfair Bridging directors Yasin Patel and Shoaib Bux have joined Arbuthnot Specialist Finance as joint managing directors.
Arbuthnot Specialist Finance is a secured lending business due for launch in the fourth quarter of this year fromArbuthnot Banking Group, a Moorgate-based private bank.
A spokeswoman from Arbuthnot Latham & Co., Limited said: “Yasin and Shoaib have extensive experience in the short-term and development finance sector, in addition to FCA regulatory roles.
“In 2007 they co-founded top tier short term and bridging lender Mayfair Bridging, which was then acquired by Amicus Finance PLC in 2014.
“Prior to their appointment at Arbuthnot Latham, Yasin and Shoaib were co-heading the Amicus Finance PLC Northern Office.”
The lender is expected to announce more appointments in the coming months.
Patel and Bux departed from Amicus in June, where they were divisional directors.
