Average cost to upsize in London reaches over £380,000

The average cost to upsize in the capital has reached £380,155, according to Compare My Move.

Brighton and Hove followed, with the average cost to upsize being noted at £199,608 on average, and Stoke-on-Trent at £185,347.

In contrast, Aberdeen was marked as the cheapest location to upsize, with average costs of £41,406.

Bradford and Plymouth followed, with average costs of £55,347 and £58,669, respectively.

Breaking the data down, Bolton is the cheapest place in the UK to upsize on average from a one-bed to a two-bed, with costs of £5,926.

Meanwhile, Brighton and Hove is the most expensive location to upsize from a one-bed to a two-bed, at £211,204.

Looking to the difference between a two-bed and a three-bed, Edinburgh ranks as the cheapest place in the UK to upgrade at £5,325.

London is noted as the most expensive within this category, at £165,249.

Furthermore, Bradford is noted as the cheapest location in the UK to upsize from a three-bed to a four-bed, with average costs of £58,143.

The capital is again recorded as the most expensive place to move from a three-bed to a four-bed with a buyer requiring an additional £410,912.
