Blimey Loans rebrands to Lending Channel

The decision to rebrand comes following feedback from broker partners that the Blimey brand has less appeal to high net worth customers than The Lending Channel.

Alistair Ewing, director of Perth-based Blimey Loans, said: “Nothing except the brand is changing so brokers and introducers can still expect the same high level of service and distribution as they always have.

“We simply felt that the time was right to take our business to the next level and create a brand which reflects our journey to a professional corporate partner.”

The Lending Channel will offer distribution to brokers looking to place bridging finance, commercial and secured loans in the specialist marketplace.

Ewing also revealed that the business has seen stellar growth this year with revenue doubling in the first five months from the same period last year.

He added: “We hope that our rebrand to The Lending Channel will support further growth with an increasing emphasis on high net worth individuals looking for flexible finance.”

The Lending Channel has hired Commercial First’s Martin Gallagher as a business development manager covering Scotland. He is due to start in the next month.
