Brightstar Financial has been named as the Best Company to Work For in the East of England in all categories, including large companies, medium companies, small companies, Not for Profit organisations and Housing Associations.

The Billericay-based specialist mortgage distributor, which was recently named the Best Small Company to Work For in The Sunday Times, added to this accolade by scooping the overall top spot in the regional awards.

Clare Jupp, people development director at Brightstar Financial, said: “It’s testament to our team at Brightstar, who share an outstanding attitude, and the outstanding culture we have developed which gives people a strong sense of belonging because they feel genuinely cared for, motivated and rewarded for their contribution and achievement.”

Rob Jupp, chief executive at Brightstar Financial, added: “It’s fantastic that the investment in our people has been acknowledged like this. Our people are what make Brightstar what we are – a motivated and engaged workforce who provide a positive experience for all of our partners and clients.”

Judged against all entrants from the East of England, including a number of household names, Brightstar scored 844 points out of a possible 1000 in the rigorous scoring system measuring workplace engagement, ahead of second place which scored 815.3 and third place which scored 773.

Brightstar, which was founded in 2011, was an early adopter of the Women in Finance Charter and has been a trailblazer for the campaign ever since. In 2017 the business opened a Wellbeing Room to provide its people with a dedicated space to relax and unwind as part of its Mental Health Action Plan.
