Chestertons makes two senior appointments

Chestertons has appointed Jamie McMullan as chief operating officer for UK & Europe Franchising, and David Russell as chief marketing officer for Global Franchising and New Homes.

In his new role, McMullan will be responsible for the introduction of Chestertons’ franchise programme and has over 30 years’ experience in the real estate sector.

Meanwhile, Russell has spent time working for American Express and Wyndham Group. As chief marketing officer he will be spearheading strategic planning and execution of the brand’s global media programme.

Salah Mussa, chairman of the Chestertons Group, said: “The appointment of McMullan and Russell to our senior leadership team highlights our continued commitment to strengthening our global franchise proposition.

“Their valuable experience in both the franchising and global real estate sectors means that we’re in an extremely strong position to evolve our offering for prospective franchisees, whilst also ensuring the success of our current franchised businesses.”

McMullan added: “The property industry has changed dramatically over the last 10 years. Whether you’re considering the emergence of PropTech or increased regulation when trading, estate agency businesses cannot afford to just stand still.”

Russell said: “Big data has allowed the company to evolve its marketing methods to become more strategic in their analysis of the constantly changing property market and in turn act on strong opportunities.

“I am therefore really excited to be bringing my passion for creating innovative consumer experiences to support this further.”
