Cheval to stage bridging roadshows

Organised by Cheval, the Blue Skies Bridging Roadshows will spell out to intermediaries where they could be missing out on opportunities to use bridging, and how it can be used to boost their income.

Gareth Lewis, Cheval's national sales manager, said: “A third of brokers regularly state that they have never used bridging finance before, and more than half tell us that they have only done bridging deals infrequently or just once before.

“In the present financial climate where access to funding is limited, brokers need to be aware of how bridging finance can be used to help their clients, as well as being a further income stream.

“There are so many ways in which bridging finance can facilitate transactions being done. Hopefully, this series of seminars will address this knowledge gap.”

The Watford-based lender will focus on the various uses of bridging and set out how it can be used in situations where mainstream lenders are unable to help.

Those attending will be told how bridging is often the best product when borrowers are looking to undertake a time-sensitive transaction such as buying at auction, settling bills at short notice, or securing a new property prior to selling an existing home.

The next Blue Skies roadshow will take place in Manchester on 16 September 2010. The morning seminar will begin at 10am with a coffee registration and include presentations, discussion tables and a networking buffet lunch, as well as a Cheval information pack and goodie bag to take home.

Attendees will automatically gain admittance to the Cheval Club, the lender’s loyalty scheme that gives members access to a range of benefits including an exclusive first charge interest rate of 1.25%, an additional procuration fee as well as entry into a quarterly prize draw.
