The change allows the broker to discuss more complex customer scenarios, whether that be a non-standard form of income, an unusual self-employed setup or more complex interest only needs.

Clydesdale Bank cuts minimum loan size threshold

Clydesdale Bank has reduced the minimum loan size threshold to access an underwriter directly, discuss and get agreement prior to submitting a full application.

If a broker has a new-business enquiry they can now speak directly to an underwriter for loans over £750,000.

Previously the lender required that it be more than £1m.

The change allows brokers to discuss more complex customer scenarios, whether that be a non-standard form of income, an unusual self-employed setup or more complex interest only needs.
