Commercial First create 40 jobs to service brokers

All of the positions will come on line during the next six months, with a strong emphasis placed on the recruitment of senior underwriting and mortgage processing staff at the company’s Brentwood headquarters. CFML is also to embark on a campaign to build a team of business development managers throughout the UK.
The announcement comes as CFML continues to be inundated with enquiries from the intermediary community throughout the UK about its revolutionary commercial mortgage, which enables sole practitioners, partnerships and limited companies to borrow between £50,000 and £1.5 million at an interest rate starting at just 6.75 per cent. A maximum loan-to-value of 75 per cent applies on all applications.
“We’re gearing up so that we are in a position to meet the intermediary demands of tomorrow,” commented Stephen Johnson, sales and marketing director of Commercial First Mortgages. “We are on the lookout for mortgage professionals who subscribe to our way of doing business – that’s setting and maintaining the highest servicing standards internally and externally.
“I am confident that all of the positions we’re creating will be filled within the next six months. We have already identified some of the people that we want to hire. These are good people with excellent credentials. Other positions will become available as our business volumes increase and we will be seeking people of a similar calibre to complement the existing team.”
Concerning the new business development management opportunities, Stephen Johnson added: “So far we have recruited Stephen Kisby from Mortgageforce. I am currently assessing our needs on the BDM front and once I’ve quantified just how many people I need on the ground, we’ll be looking to sign-up some big-hitters as quickly as possible.”
