The trainee Surveyor Programme leads to an associate membership of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors in six to eight months along with a commensurate salary, car, pension and healthcare benefits.

Paul Chapman, managing director of Countrywide Surveying Services, said: “We are delighted by the initial response to our Trainee Surveyor Programme. It is clear from the huge response we received for a place on our programme that there is high demand for jobs and careers in the residential surveying industry.

“Encouraging new blood into the surveying profession is key to unlocking the surveyor capacity issue and we are pleased to be at the forefront of recruiting, training and developing talented individuals who are keen to develop a career as a professional surveyor.”

Surveying Services, part of Countrywide, is working closely with RICS to address the surveyor capacity issue and is helping to develop solutions that will benefit the industry as a whole.

Applicants need a minimum of four years residential property experience or must be degree qualified and have worked in the property industry for two years.
